I wonder if competitors would end up voting for each other? just a thought...
 

I think the poll is a great idea. I've only recently been published in e-format and it is with The Wild Rose Press. I don't see them on your list :(
In my experiance with them, they are a grade A company and the authors are treated with respect, and as equals!
 

Sorry to say it, but the poll is absolute nonsense! How can you tell? 'Cause most of the publishers way "in the lead" have been around for less than a few months (or weeks in some cases) and have yet to even pay out royalties! Give me a break! I seriously doubt any of them have had that many customers at their websites yet, let alone loyal customers and authors who cast a vote for them. When a company with a whopping 4 or 5 whole books for sale is beating out the competition who's been around for years with hundreds of titles, there's ballot-stuffing galore, and don't let anyone tell you differently. Silly and nonsensical to say the least.
 

I think discussing the worst publisher has liability problems. It would be best to discuss issues to avoid...such as those who advertise as full press publishers but then require a fee for POD set up or you discover the bottom line is you must provide the cover.
 

The poll is nonsense? It is what it is. The recent guys have got out and lobbied which suggests a certain level of enthusiasm--and only 3 days have elapsed, it will even out. In the end polls are popularity contests and this one will be described as such.

I agree that discussing negatives probably needs to be done more objectively. It's fine for people to love a publisher 'just because' (squeeee etc), but dissing requires justification and supporting evidence.
 

I am sorry anonymous feels this way. Some publishers opened their doors recently, with grand motivation and a very warm welcome from the ebook comunity.
I am sorry you feel that the poll is Silly and nonsensical to quote you. We want every one to vote for their publisher of their choice.
 

What a pity Anonymous feels this way. First of all the e-publishers that are on top, even though are new, are marketing their companies and presenting the public with quality books that are well written. The covers are simply beautiful. I know, I purchased one. Samhain, Cobblestone and Mardi Gras are well represented and it seems as though their authors stand behind them. I have heard nothing but good reviews from readers and authors alike wishing to submit to the newest e-publisher Mardi Gras. I personally enjoy the music on their home page. It has a warm homelike feeling. I for one would bet this is a publisher that will make it to the top. I am an Editor and have seen several e-publishers out there, but none like Mardi Gras...i wish them nothing but the best of luck along with the others in this poll.
