Discussion: a cover art award?
I don't know about you but I think that we need to encourage good cover artists in erotic romance publishing. I was wondering whether authors might like to nominate artsits for covers completed for them during 2005. Anyone inclined could donate to the prize basket and the winner would be chosen by a small panel of professional artists. Thoughts?

2005 or 2006?
Might be better to wait until January and get everything set up for books pubbed in 2006.
And then my cover for "What Alice Wants" will be eligible. Not that I need to be eligible, but April does AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL work.
Also, there are some cover contests already, so it might be worth taking a look at them and perhaps seeing if we could put a twist on them, some specific criteria. Not sure what exactly. I just mean instead of vaguely "the best" perhaps "Best at capturing the mood of the story" or "Best at rising the viewer's temperature" or some such thing, although those aren't great examples.

I think it's a great idea. Waiting for January is a good point.
