  Here's my card...
or not. Fellow erotica writers, do you carry a business card? If so, what do you call yourself? Do you promote yourself as an erotica writer?

Over the weekend, I chatted with a few aspiring musicians, and they talked about the pros and cons of using business cards. On one hand, it's easy to toss a card that's been handed to you. On the other hand, it's convenient to have something that at least has your website and/or email on it.

What say you? To card or not?

Comments:
I have a home laser-printed b/w card with my name and email on it. It does the job. :)

In the past, I haven't carried business cards because they aren't as effective as my promo postcards and bookmarks at telling readers what I write. However, I just ordered a set of "Moo Cards" that I created using the covers of my books. I got 100 cards for $20 with a variety of designs (10 of each book). I plan to use them as business cards and see if they work :)

Not yet, but only because I haven't got around to designing them and printing them - it's one of todays jobs actually, as I ran out of my other alter ego's cards yesterday :)

Interesting discussion. I've been trying to decide whether to make up some cards myself. :D Since I write across genres, I'd probably have to make up a dozen different ones LOL.

Ooooh, thankyou JM for that Moo link, I'm going to order some!

I have a stash from when I did some local ebook signings. Vistaprint.com often has good sales. I recently did a color front from a high res istockphoto.com image and a back in black. I threw all my subgenres on the back since they were erotic related.

The Moo Cards look pretty cool. Thanks for the tip, JM. Were you happy with the quality of the printing, stock, etc.?

The "moo cards" look pretty cool. Thanks for the heads up!

I went on vistaprint and drew a blank when designing the card. It's one of those things that are still on the to-do list.

I pretty much use my bookmarks as my cards right now. I keep meaning to do business cards, but the thought slips my mind. There doesn't seem to be much need for me to have them right now. :)
