  Penta-pinion: Cassandra Curtis
I just added the 60th erotic romance e-publisher to the PLIST. There is something about large round numbers that drives home the impossibility of the task of really, thoroughly researching that many options. Obviously there has to be a way to create an initial shortlist. There obviously is no perfectly valid and reliable way to do this but I thought one thing that might be useful is the top picks of a various of people engaged in the genre right now. So I posted the question...

What would be your personal picks of the top 5 erotic romance epublishers that you would suggest to a talented novice writer in this genre? I also asked that they not list presses they are published with.

Here is my first response from Cassandra Curtis author of many novels including Shifting Tides: Beneath A Midnight Sea (Book One) and I Put A Spell On You Eppie Finalist) both available from Amber Heat.

Yes, that would be difficult not to list AQP (my own publisher), but if I had to leave them out, I would list, in no particular order:

Samhain
Phaze
Red Sage
New Concepts Publishing
Wild Child/Freya's Bower
EC

I've had the opportunity to read and review a wide selection of books from these publishers and I've heard good things about them all. Oh and I realize I have six on my list. Oh well, consider it a bonus. ROFL.

If you really want to list your own publisher, please do.

...yep, gotta add Amber Quill Press/Amber Heat.

p.s. feel free to send us your own penta-pinion to erecmail at gmial.com. I am looking for a list of 5, but this is obviously not a strict rule ;)

I think you are doing a good job, I always point people here when they want to know about e-publishers rather than EPIC as at least you do have information about the publishers.

Well, the only one I have any personal experience of is Loose Id -- and going by my own experience, I'd be happy to recommend them...

Great post. I'm with several publishers (and not all that I've listed.) But from all I've heard and seen from other authors, I'd have to recommend, in no particular order:
Samhain, Loose Id, EC and Amber Quill.
Those names are based on quality romance fiction, royalties paid on-time and at a decent rate, good sales/promo, and good communication and treatment by the publisher toward its authors.
