New Month's Resolution (Three Days Late)--veinglory
That's it. No more typos. I am not going to post or email anything without 1) spellchecking, and 2) closing the file and then coming back to double-check it. Writing online comments and forum posts that make me look semi-illiterate just can't be a good thing. You are now ordered to point at all my typos and other proofreading lapses and laugh loudly--like a pack of merciless hyenas. It's the only way I'll learn.

Sorry. I completely understand your issues, because they are my own. The eye sees what it expects to see, at least when scrutinizing your own work. But take heart. Even if I missed one, there are still fewer errors in this post than just about anywhere else on the nets. And at least you don't have word usage problems. I forget where I recently read "rivaled," when the author clearly meant "reveled." All I know is it was in a published book.

Oh yes totally understand those issues too. I sit and look at things later and think Oh No. No one would believe I excelled at english.
I wish I had to deal with simply typos. Those would be much less embarrassing than the problems I seem to have.

My problem is that I let things slide because I just don't care that much. I recognize this. I just can't be bothered to do anything about it.

I hate finding the typos AFTER I hit send. I swear I can re-read things 15 times, but as soon as I hit send I'll find another typo! GRRRRR... So hated. But, as Kirsten said, whatever we write is still 15 times better than what is out there on the net. I just can't believe the poor grammar that abounds. It makes me shudder. At least typos just mean your fingers were moving faster than your brain.. poor grammar is a whole 'nother level.
