EPICon is coming up. This year it will be head at Virginia beach, March 8-11. I hope to see you there.
Collection of anonymous sales figures continues. Currently I have data relating to 39 books. Mean data suggest that epublishers are selling an average of 81 books in the first month and 320 in the first year. But I could really use a better sample so that I can break these figures down more. I continue to hear reports of ebooks selling in the single figures. So please look in yout databases and royalty reports and let me know any of the following information for each book you have published: 1) the publisher, 2) copies sold in the first month, 3) copies sold in the first year, 4) total copies sold to date or 5) total copies sold (to end of contract). Please note: the data need not be complete and all information submitted will be treated with strict confidentially and seen only by myself (Emily Veinglory, veinglory AT gmail.com).
EREC is seeking a logo design. We have invited submissions via our blog, payment for the winning submission is $20 via paypal. So far we have received one suggestion (shown right). Please let us know what you think by email or blog comment.
If you have found the EREC website and blog useful we encourage you to contribute back in any way you find convenient. For example:
We are always in need of articles relating to writing for erotic romance epublishers. These might include: a guide to publishers in a niche genre such as m/m, BBW or inter-racial, a guide to interpreting contracts, qualities of good and bad contracts and how to negotiate, e-publishers that POD--the pros and cons, or any other subject along these lines. Articles writers are not paid but get a byline and cover spot with their article.
Do you know about an epublisher that is not on our list? Please send us the name and website address and we will add them! Updates sometimes take a little while but I do want our list to be exhaustive.
Do you keep track with the latest happenings in erotic romance epublishing? Please consider posting news and opinions on our blog. You may post the same article on your own blog and on the EREC blog (cross-posting allowed). You may also post promotions to the EREC blog (every second post, not more than one post per day). Please email if you would like to join the EREC blog.
If you write erotic romance then this site aims to help you find the right publisher for your work. We will start by listing e-publishers and expand to other publishers as time permits. Please keep an eye on this site as our listings will be expanded as information comes to hand. If you have any specific questions please visit our forum or send us an email!
"Business plans can be useful for a number of purposes. Most commonly, they're seen as a tool for raising money from banks or other lenders, but publishers are unlikely to offer a writer money based on her business plan..." read more

If you need a place to mix with erotic romance writers we recommend the Erotic Romance Writers Forum (ERWF). This is a busy forum where we welcome anyone with an interest in erotic romance. The focus is on writers but our members also include editors, publishers, artists, proofreaders and many other people involved in this genre.
The forum requires a simple, free membership and once you have joined an age statement is required to get access to the workshopping and adult discussion areas. We have a wide range of sub-forums for the discussion of electronic and hard-copy publishers, the writing process, promotional techniques and general chit chat.
Want to keep up with all the new erotic romance releases? Then check out Erotic Writers Forum Promo livejournal.
